How good is a Quantas economy flight to melbourne?
1
I am traveling to melbourne soon and im trying to find the best 'value for money' seat. i.e. Space, tv, food etc….
I am 6ft 4 and i dont really want to die of DVT on the way….
So, what is the best economy airline for space?
Any suggestions?
Ok, this may sound dumb, but is economy class the lowest? because i flew from perth to melbourne in 'donkey' class (my dad calls it that) and it was fantastic!

Like fokkin royalty..!
I'm 6'2, but I usually go for aisle seats anyway. I flew from Los Angeles to Melbourne for the AFL Grand Final in 2005, and I got dinner once we got near Hawaii. Not just chicken or fish, this was high-tier bistro quality food! We had a blanket, blindfold, headphones, slippers and pouch of toiletries waiting for us once we got onto the plane. They had a tv screen and wired remote that had tons of programs for each seat.. Comedies, full length RECENT movies, news, even a station that had facts & figures of your flight. Temperature outside, your global position, time since you left the airport, time until you land, etc. Also, we got a bottle of chilled water, assorted snacks, plus hours later, we got a decadent breakfast as well..
And yes, this is an International Economy flight on Qantas! If you're gonig from the US to Australia, I strong recommend the Aussie Airpass! flights into and out of Australia, plus flights to 3 Australian Cities, one price..
